This document outlines our commitment to the DSA’s mandates concerning Advertising, Transparency Reporting, Recommendation Systems, and Content Guidelines, tailored to our unique position in the travel insurance industry.

Advertising

In alignment with our obligations under the DSA, Travelner Insurance commits to clearly and prominently labeling advertisements on our platform with a "Sponsored" or "Promoted" badge. We will ensure transparency by disclosing the entity on whose behalf an advertisement is placed, who funded it, and the main parameters defining the targeted audience, thereby enabling our users to make informed decisions.

Transparency Reporting

Consistent with DSA requirements, Travelner Insurance will prepare and publish transparency reports. These reports will detail our content moderation efforts, including the volume and nature of content removed or adjusted on our platform and any content removal requests we receive from public authorities and users. This initiative underscores our dedication to an open and safe online space for exploring and purchasing travel insurance products.

Our Recommendation Systems

Travelner Insurance utilizes recommendation systems to enhance user experience by suggesting relevant travel insurance options and services. These systems, including filters and search result rankings, are designed with the user’s needs in mind, based on:

  • Input from search forms (e.g., destination, travel dates).
  • User interactions with our platform (e.g., previous searches, location while browsing).
  • Performance metrics of insurance products on our platform (e.g., popularity, customer feedback).
  • Availability, pricing, and specific features of insurance products.

Our objective is to simplify the process of finding suitable travel insurance, with recommendation factors tailored to present the most relevant options to our users.

Content Guidelines

Travelner Insurance is committed to fostering a respectful and safe online community. Our content guidelines are designed to ensure that all reviews, images, and listings on our platform are appropriate, respectful, and relevant to travel insurance.

  1. Content Standards & Guidelines: We expect content on our platform to contribute positively to our community, adhering to standards that prohibit hate speech, discrimination, and any form of harassment.

    Our guidelines and the content standards below aim to keep the content relevant and appropriate for a global audience, but without limiting the expression of strong opinions. They’re applicable regardless of the positive or negative sentiment of the comment.

    Contributions should be travel-related – the most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better, informed decisions. Don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning our services should be routed to our Customer Service team.

    Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience – comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.

    All content should be genuine and unique to the guest – reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Our property partners must not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to lower the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review won’t be tolerated.

    Respect the privacy of others – refrain from including personal data, such as first and last names, telephone numbers, email addresses and other information regarding other persons in your posts.

    Respect intellectual property – ensure that you own or have the right to use any intellectual property rights that might exist in the content you post particularly photo

  2. Guest Reviews Standards: Only verified customers who have purchased insurance products through our platform are invited to submit reviews, ensuring authenticity and relevance. Our moderation process is designed to publish genuine reviews, with a transparent method for addressing and removing content that violates our guidelines.

  3. Images and Editorial Guidelines: We maintain strict standards for images and written content, ensuring they are directly related to the travel insurance experience and comply with our policies regarding decency, copyright, and authenticity.

Travelner Travel Insurance Content Guidelines

1. Respectful and Safe Communication

  • No Hate Speech or Discrimination: We strictly prohibit content that promotes or endorses hate, discrimination, or harassment against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or other protected statuses. Our platform is a safe space for all our customers.
  • Anti-Harassment Policy: Threatening, bullying, or harassing content is not allowed. We are committed to maintaining a respectful community for our customers and employees.

2. Prohibited Content

  • Violence and Offensiveness: Content that promotes, incites, or glorifies violence is banned. Obscene, offensive, or inappropriate content is also not permitted on our platform.
  • Sexual Content: We do not allow sexually explicit material or content that exploits individuals in any form.
  • Animal Welfare: We advocate for the humane treatment of animals and do not accept content that promotes cruelty or harmful behavior towards animals.

3. Commercial Content and Honesty

  • Authentic Experiences: Reviews and content should reflect genuine experiences and opinions about our services. Misleading, deceptive, or solely promotional content is not accepted.
  • Self-Promotion and Advertising: Content created for advertising or self-promotion is prohibited.

4. Relevance and Misrepresentation

  • Relevant Content: All submitted content must be relevant to travel insurance services and our customers' experiences with our agency.
  • Misleading Practices: Content designed to mislead, scam, or defraud others is strictly banned. We are committed to providing a trustworthy and transparent platform.

5. Intellectual Property and Privacy

  • Intellectual Property: We respect intellectual property rights and expect our users to do the same. Any content suspected of infringement will be subject to removal.
